Kelly Chu Wing Lam

Kelly Chu is a visual artist who believes art is a mean for her to make sense of the world through a plethora of mediums including painting, photography, videos, site-specific installation, art happening, collaborative projects and exhibition curation. Research and making of art allow her to structure an elastic way to articulate and manifest complicated and diverse topics.

 

Her art making often draws inspiration from the interrelationship between materials, sites, and events, which are often ordinary and neglected, and developed them into an ironical and playful treatment of the subject. Her works have the tendency to involve more and more variations and the duration in my work often plays a major role to activate the work.

 

Kelly lives and works in Hong Kong.
